Join us on the riverside ArtThing to enjoy a new event for ArtOrg, papermaking! With equipment donated to ArtOrg from The Minnesota Children’s Museum, we’ll explore how to turn pulp into paper. Wet and messy – perfect for a hot summer evening with the kids. Great for ages 4-10 with an adult. Not interested in wet and messy? This is a fascinating process to watch – bring a lawn chair and just enjoy the view!
This event is part of the Cannon Falls First Thursdays series, when vendors and activities fill Mill Street and extend down to ArtOrg’s riverside patio called the ArtThing. The ArtThing is a place where artists gather to create. About 1500 square feet of interlocking paving stones form the surface of the patio, with additional seating terrace on the nearby slope.
ArtOrg is a non-profit arts organization impacting individuals and communities through visual arts projects and events primarily centered in the print, with public art, commissioned work, and experimental-based education initiative.
